Dipl. Ing. Heike Mirbach

By combining analysis, spirit, humor and emotion, I strive to create not only surfaces, images or stories, but to explore and reflect on the deepest levels of the human condition. A process that can be most aptly expressed in the poetic words of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe:

“The moment you finally commit yourself to a task, providence also moves. All sorts of things that would otherwise never have happened happen to help you. A whole stream of events is set in motion by this decision, and it provides numerous unforeseen coincidences, encounters and material help in your favor that no one could ever have dreamed of before. Motivation in my work

My work stems from a deep longing to create new worlds that appeal to our intellect as well as our emotions and senses. My motivation stems from the indomitable desire and joy of wandering in the infinite expanses of the universe of creativity and discovering new things in the process.

For me, every design, every written word is an opportunity to tell a story, to evoke emotions and to take the viewer or listener on a journey through the imagination. I transform the power of imagination into tangible forms and make it tangible and experienceable for other people. By transforming abstract concepts into concrete works, I create access to the innermost thoughts and feelings that can shape our imagination and influence our behavior.

In my work, I find a space of freedom in which thoughts and feelings can be expressed, without limits and restrictions. It is this endless process of inventing, designing and creating that drives me again and again and offers me an inexhaustible source of inspiration and joie de vivre.

The spectrum of my activities

My work spans theater, film, architecture and interdisciplinary art productions. In particular, I focus on play development, script writing, set and costume design. These activities allow me to express my love of art and creativity in a variety of ways. My aim is to create an inspiring, sustainable and exciting artistic experience through my work that reflects and stimulates discussion on psychological, social and political issues.

THEATER:

Piece Development: I develop new theater pieces and performance formats.
Stage Design: From opulent opera stages to minimalist stage sets for contemporary plays.
Costume Design: By combining style, color and texture, I create costumes that emphasize the characters’ personalities.
Theater sculpture: As a theater sculptor, I also go beyond traditional materials to create unique visual elements for stage productions. From making life-size puppets to creating masks and special props.

FILM:

Screenplay: As a budding screenwriter, I am familiar with all phases of script development.
Set-Design: From planning and conception to implementation on set.
Costume-Design: I create costumes that support character development and the atmosphere of the movie.

ART:

Interdisciplinary art productions: My artistic work is not limited to individual disciplines. By bringing together different forms of artistic expression and media, I strive to create projects that transcend the boundaries of the traditional understanding of art.

ARCHITECTURE:

Project involvement: As an architect, I actively contribute my expertise and creative vision to various architectural projects and competitions.
